TownTalks: Cantus Celebrates Voices of Hope

Join Cantus and choral director Amanda Weber as they celebrate Voices of Hope, the women’s choir at Shakopee Correctional Facility.

Amanda Weber will share the story of founding the choir and the role it plays in bringing meaning, purpose, and hope to the lives of its members. Cantus will sing selections from the repertoire created for the choir during the mentoring series they offered at the prison this spring. The program will conclude with local experts offering insight into the challenges confronting women who have experienced incarceration.
