ADA ACCESS PLAN

Policy: Cantus is committed to ensuring that all persons shall have equal access to its programs, facilities, and employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex, marital status, national origin, disability, age, public assistance, veteran status, or sexual orientation.

    Accessible Entrances and Parking:

    •  Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis- This venue has three accessible entrances, four accessible restrooms on the ground floor, and elevator access to onsite parking.

    •  Ordway Center for the Performing Arts- Accessible parking near the Ordway is limited. Any parking meter is free for vehicles with validation. The main entrance on Washington is accessible and a cut-out area is available. The Ordway also provides elevator access between the Orchestra main level, Mezzanine second level, and Balcony levels on the northwest side of the lobby.

    •  Cantus’ other primary subscription venues – i.e., Colonial Church of Edina, Trinity Lutheran Church in Stillwater, Wayzata Community Church – have accessible entrances and each provides ample on-site parking with designated parking spaces.

    Accessible Seating:

    •  All of Cantus’ venues provide accessible seating options along with companion seats marked with this symbol:

    Alternative Format Programs:

    •  Cantus offers large print and Braille programs to patrons who are blind or have low vision. These must be requested two weeks in advance of the performance.

    ASL Interpretation:

    •  Cantus provides an ASL interpreter at selected concerts and, upon request, will provide ASL interpretation for any of its live performances. Recorded online/digital performances include closed captioning. Services are subject to availability.

    Service Animals:

    •  Service animals are permitted and welcomed at Cantus events. However, these animals must remain on a leash/harness at all times and must remain in the seating area of the individual with a disability during a performance. Other animals may not attend Cantus events.
