Cantus Presents: Minneapolis Mile of Music

At Cantus, we believe music has the power to bring people together, strengthen communities, and create moments of belonging. That’s why we’re proud to present the Minneapolis Mile of Music, a new, free mile-long music experience along Nicollet Avenue celebrating the incredible artists, restaurants, and neighborhoods that make Minneapolis vibrant.

On Wednesday, August 19, from 4:00–8:00 p.m., more than 20 venues along three of Minneapolis’ iconic cultural corridors, from St. Anthony Main to Nicollet Mall and Eat Street, will come alive with free happy-hour performances by outstanding local musicians.

While Cantus won’t be performing this year due to our own busy touring and performance schedule, we’re thrilled to help bring this event to life as its producer in partnership with the City of Minneapolis Arts & Cultural Affairs Department, Twin Cities Jazz Festival, Dance Agenda, and The Legacy Building. 

Supporting the broader musical ecosystem is central to Cantus’ mission. Minneapolis thrives when local artists, audiences, and neighborhood businesses come together, and we’re proud to help create new opportunities for people to experience live music across our city.
